Guided by design
patience & stewardship

Lunaroya is developed by Southern Land Company, a privately held, family-owned real estate firm founded in 1986 with a long-standing commitment to creating enduring places to live. Every Southern Land community is shaped by a belief that thoughtful design, long-term care, and respect for the land lead to places that age gracefully over time.

Southern Land operates with a fully integrated team that spans planning, architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, construction, horticulture, and long-term property operations. This integrated approach ensures that every community is guided with continuity and intention, from the earliest vision through years of care and stewardship.

National Scale & Local Presence

Experience in Texas

Southern Land Company entered the Texas market in 2004 and has spent more than two decades developing mixed-use, multifamily, and master-planned communities across the state. To date, the firm has built and managed six mixed-use and multifamily communities in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, totaling more than 1,500 apartment homes, as well as a master-planned residential community.

From Keller and McKinney to Allen, Plano, Dallas, and Fort Worth, Southern Land’s Texas portfolio reflects a consistent focus on walkable neighborhoods, architectural quality, and integrated retail and community spaces. The company continues to expand its presence in Texas, with plans underway for a large-scale mixed-use project in Houston.

Lunaroya, Dripping Springs, TX

Lunaroya is guided by strong local leadership. Dan Hutts, Southern Land Company’s local head of homebuilding, is a Texas native who lives in Dripping Springs and has spent decades building custom homes throughout the Hill Country. His familiarity with the land, the community, and the pace of life in Dripping Springs has shaped Lunaroya from the very beginning. Dan’s long search for the right property ultimately led to the Barton Creek site, where Lunaroya is now taking shape as a community defined by patience, care, and respect for place.
